John Prine....wow, what an artist. First became familiar with him over 30 years ago.

Saw him do this song live, probably one of the most heartbreaking and beautiful songs I've ever heard:
Well, that reminded me of this song, which I haven't heard for years and had almost completely forgotten about (which is odd, considering the song title).

Song: Remember
Artist: Harry Nilsson

Song: Handbags And Gladrags
Artist: Chase

Here's the wikipedia entry for Bill Chase. We lost him too soon.

I remember back in the late 70's I was in love with Annie Haslam from the group Renaissance - what a voice...... and very easy on the eyes too:

Ashes Are Burning from the Live At Carnegie Hall album.

Hard to believe a human voice can do those things.

Tip, you bet. Jacqui McShee from Pentangle was great too, and also mighty easy on the eyes.
Can anyone say Basket of Light and http://<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/FgrXmEbgFzo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I will bring up another great one from Annie Haslam http://<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/mi_QCi4rjZM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Hope that you all enjoy. I prefer Carpet of the Sun but Ashes are Burning is world class. Enjoy some of the music that the seasoned citizens consider classic rock.:toast:

RIP Hal David - teaming up with Burt Bacharach, they wrote some amazing music back in the day:

One of Bacharach/David's best. Man, I miss you, Luther.
